Writer’s Lodge
The Writer’s Lodge is a programme which is crafted for existing students and graduates of ThinkWRight. With a specific focus on general knowledge and essay writing, students will be personally coached by our Director of Studies Dr Roy van-den Brink Budgen.
Writings of the students will be submitted for The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition. The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition is an endeavour to promote literacy, expression and creativity among young people by celebrating excellence and imagination. With topics crafted for participants to demonstrate their ability and provoke discussions about important Commonwealth and global issues, The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition is a great opportunity of our learners to showcase their critical and creative thinking skills.
Existing Students of ThinkWRight will be coached for the Junior Category, and graduates of ThinkWRight who have completed their sprint schema with ThinkWRight will be coached for the Senior Category.
Writer’s Lodge is now closed. See you again next year!
Writer’s Lodge will begin in 2018. Contact our coaches for more information!
Parenting Seminars
It is ThinkWRight’s belief that thinking can take place anywhere, and at any time. Beyond the classrooms where our learners are equipped with Critical Thinking skills, the best environment for our learners to hone their thinking skills is in their everyday lives!
Seeking to create a strong tripartite relationship between ThinkWRight, our learners, and their parents, ThinkWRight regularly organises parenting seminars in conjunction with The Phrontistery. Providing practical and innovative tips for parents to bring out the inquisitive thinker in your child, parenting seminars are designed to help parents bond with their child through critical thinking activities and exercises.
